The side panel can be lifted by itself, too however it isn't advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism means that it can only stay down when attached to the bed properly. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent feedings at night.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be a perfect fit for any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers, thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It comes with a tilting function for reflux babies, and the ability to rock to calm them after a feeding. It's also very spacious and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers despite the lengthy instruction manual.
